Bakmi GM

Bakmi GM is one of the most famous noodle restaurant in Indonesia. Oops!!! Sorry.. Josh just corrected me.. He said it is D most FAMOUS in Indonesia, anymore famous than that would be Mcdonalds. It has been around for more than 20 years.

We went to the branch at Pondok Indah Mall, which was there since 1997. Although we were there on wednesday afternoon, the place is still very crowded.

We ordered 3 bowls of bakmi special, 5 pieces of pangsit goreng (fried dumplings) and 3 sosro tehbotol. Burppp!!! It's really delicious!!!

Sushi Tei

Sushi Tei is the first sushi restaurant I've been to when I was 10 years old. They made their first appearance in Holland Village. I could remembered clearly going there with my aunt Veron until I'm old enough to find my way there. Few years later, they opened up a branch in Takashimaya and Millenium Walk. It started blooming from then on and I've lost track of their outlets.

I'm so glad that they have finally opened up a franchise in Malaysia!!!! The 1st Sushi Tei!!! The one and only one in Malaysia!!! I'm hoping that they would open up more outlets in Malaysia. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that.

Here are some of our favorite food:

Ebi Mentai Sushi

Ebi Mentai

We had the lobster mentai at Plaza Senayan, Jakarta. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of that. I was too busy taking photos of my Josh, my mommy-in-law and my sister-in-law :)

Satay or Sate

We called it Satay in Singapore.
They called it Sate in Indonesia.

Which is right? Which is wrong? It doesn't really matter, as long as it is delicious!!

This is one of those *waroeng stalls u see on the side of the streets. Josh said that it has been there for more than a decade. Thats a looooooong time!!!

It is located at Permata Hijau outside Hero supermarket. Their specialty is chicken's skin sate, thats my hubby favorite!!!! I preferred the chicken meat, thats my favourite!!!

*Warung
A warung (old spelling waroeng) is a type of small family owned business — often a casual, usually outdoor restaurant — in Indonesia.
